Get to Know Us
Cal Club Softball was founded in 2019 by Emily Ramey as a student-run organization fueled by a passion for competition, camaraderie, and a love for softball among the ambitious and intelligent women at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2023, we achieved official recognition as a club sport, enhancing our visibility and resources while proudly representing our school. Competing in the NCSA Division 1 Pacific Central Conference, we face formidable competition against UC Davis, UC Merced, UCSC, and Sacramento State, all while fostering a supportive team environment. Our journey has not been without challenges; last year, we encountered significant obstacles, including a canceled train from Eugene, Oregon, which forced us to hitchhike and spend the night on the airport floor. While this experience was traumatic, it undoubtedly brought us together as a team. Looking ahead, we are eager to continue competing at a high level, building on past victories, and embracing new opportunities!

“A true champion is someone who wants to make a difference, who never gives up, and who gives everything she has no matter what the circumstances are. A true champion works hard and never loses sight of her dreams.”
